Sunrise & Sunset Family Sessions

this time with your kids is so important- believe me, I know it

Occasionally I will open up my bookings to families for a photoshoot during sunset or sunrise, or at an indoors home-style session. If you are looking for photoshoots like newborn family pictures and fun, movement style family shots, don't hesitate to reach out to me!

Just a quick note for the ones with little kiddos: sunset is later on in the evening during the summer so it may be wise to let them have a quick nap before picture time :)

FAQ

How many pictures will we receive?

This depends on what type of photoshoot/package we are working together on but I would say a rule of thumb is:

35+ images for maternity and couples shoots
150+ images for weddings and elopements

How should we dress for our family session?

Chic casual or way over the top.. both work but I will say it a thousand times: NEUTRALS are so timeless. You can add a pop of color here and there but the base should stay neutral if possible.

I will send an outfit guide for your shoot upon booking confirmation that will help more with this.

What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?

Whenever you feel comfortable! I would always say that around week two you may have a little more energy and feel like yourself.

Can I bring my animal?

YES! But... please make sure that they are well trained, we don't want to cut into your shoot time unnecessarily. :)

Can I bring an outfit change?

All packages allow for one outfit change (some allow for more!!!) and I would highly encourage it! It's always fun to try out different looks.

Do you have poses for us?

Yes, and no.. I do more of a lifestyle approach to photography where one of us can bring props (ex: pizza and a blanket @ the beach for sunset) and then we let the romance take its course. I of course step in for some more formal shots but most of my prompts are "moving" prompts (ex: twirl her, piggy bag ride, rapid fire kisses, etc).
